The gut microbiome encompasses a vast ecosystem, including diverse bacterial species which maintain symbiosis with their human host and are credited with influencing overall wellness. The direct communication between gut microbiota and the brain, known as the gut-brain axis, has quite recently been named the “psychobiome.” Exploration into the use of microbe “psychobiotics” intended to influence the mind by way of the microbiome is a new area of exploration into the psychobiome.

Join registered dietitian and clinical nutritionist Lacey Hall in this webinar as she explores the two-way gut-brain axis communication system within the human body.

You will learn:

•  How the GI microbiome influences brain health

•  The significance of emerging research related to the psychobiome

•  Which specific bacteria strains influence neurotransmitter production, circadian rhythms, and stress response

•  Targeted intervention strategies for restoring microbial balance between the gut and brain
