Prostate cancer is not a singular illness, it can present many clinical scenarios with a wide range of variables. Understanding how prostate cancer is classified, staged, and graded is vital to determining an appropriate treatment protocol for each individual. As part of the standard of care for prostate cancer treatment, androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) reduces testosterone levels and is effective at controlling prostate cancer growth, but it has known, common side effects. Recognizing when testosterone is indicated or when ADT may be the best option are important components to developing a treatment plan for prostate cancer.

Don’t miss this dynamic presentation delivered by expert urologist Dr. Matthew Stanizzi as he details the background and latest scientific data related to the use and risks of testosterone for prostate cancer patients. Dr. Stanizzi will discuss treatments used when ADT is employed and recent evidence that will help to answer frequently asked questions regarding the role of testosterone in the cause and growth of prostate cancer.
